OpenbooQ installs of GAF Timberline® shingles — from North America's largest roofing manufacturer — qualify for GAF's System Plus Limited Warranty, paired with our standard 25-year workmanship guarantee. Manufacturing-defect, non-prorated and wind terms are identical across all three lines we sell; they differ on algae term and impact rating.
Summary of GAF System Plus Limited Warranty form RESWT162L-0426. No-maximum wind speed is GAF’s WindProven™ term and requires LayerLock®-labeled shingles at 4 nails each plus four qualifying GAF accessories — included with every OpenbooQ install; without it, coverage caps at 130 mph. Algae runs 25 years on Timberline HDZ and AS II and 30 years on UHDZ, non-prorated for the first 10. Impact ratings are UL 2218 product certifications, not warranty coverage — GAF does not warrant these shingles against hail. Lifetime term applies to owner-occupied single-family homes, or a second owner if transferred within 20 years; for condos, HOAs, apartments and commercial buildings the term is 40 years with a 20-year non-prorated period.
