What a roof costs in Ohio and Texas, per square
One roofing square is 100 sq ft. These are the all-in rates every OpenbooQ quote is built from — installed, not materials only.
Included in the rate: all roofing materials, tear-off and disposal of the existing roof, installation, site cleanup and haul-off, sales tax.
Added where it applies: $125 per skylight, for flashing; $250 per chimney, for flashing; $5 per square for each story above the first, as an access allowance; $5 per square where the roof needs an additional labor allowance.
The rate is charged on billable squares — your measured area plus a waste allowance set by how cut-up the roof is. The same rate applies in Ohio and Texas.
